Common questions
Do I need a Google account to use Fia?
Yes. Fia requires Google sign-in. It identifies your account and links backups, plans and AI credits to it. Fia never receives your Google password.
Where are my tasks stored?
On your phone, in Fia’s private storage. Claren Labs does not run a server that holds your tasks, projects or timer history. Use Google Drive backup or Export backup to keep a copy.
How do I back up or move to a new phone?
In Fia, open Settings, then Google Drive, and choose Connect Google Drive and Back up now. On the new phone, sign in with the same Google account and choose Restore backup. Google Drive backup is free. You can also use Export backup and Import backup under Backup files.
Why didn’t a reminder or timer alert ring?
Android can delay or block alerts. In Android Settings, allow notifications and Alarms & reminders for Fia, set its battery usage to Unrestricted, and check Do Not Disturb. Some phone makers add their own battery limits.
How does the floating timer work?
Turn on Floating timer in Fia to keep a small countdown on top of other apps while a session runs. It needs the Display over other apps permission and shows only Fia’s timer. It does not read other apps.
What does Fia AI send?
Fia AI is optional and stays off until you turn it on and agree to its data notice. It sends the data listed in that notice to Claren Labs’ server and OpenAI to answer you. Notes, subtasks, contacts and call history are never sent. See the Privacy Policy.
What are AI credits?
Fia AI uses credits for each request. Your balance, allowance and reset date are shown in Fia AI. To stop using it, open Fia AI’s menu and choose Turn off Fia AI.
How do I use a promo code?
Open Why Fia in Fia, swipe Get Fia Plus and enter your code. Each code works once per account.
Where can I see my plan and receipts?
Sign in on your account page with the Google account you use in Fia. It shows your plan, Fia AI usage, payments and printable receipts.
How do refunds work?
A payment can be refunded within 7 days if nothing from it has been used. Duplicate charges and failed activations are always refunded. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
How do I delete my account?
In Fia, open Settings and choose Delete account. This also deletes the records linked to your account on our server. No longer have the app? Send a deletion request.
How do I report a bug?
Choose Report a bug in Fia’s menu, or email support@clarenlabs.com with your Fia version (Settings, About Fia), Android version and phone model.
